The Marine Seismology and Geoacousitcs Group - CANONICAL SEAMOUNT MODEL

<
The following is a set of movies from the Marine Seismology and Geoacoustics Group at WHOI using data that was highlighted in the April, 1995 CURRENTS article. The movies in the section below are made using a Cannonical Seafloor with a Hard Bottom with no Attenuation using a finite-difference method applied to the solution of the two-way elastic wave equation. (see: Modeling seafloor geoacoutic interaction with a numerical scattering chamber, Stephen and Swift, The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, Vol. 96, No. 2, Pt. 1, August 1994, pp. 973-990)
