It was announced that Yoshiyuki Kaneda
has submitted a session proposal to AOGS – AGU (WPGM) Joint Assembly, which will
be held in Singapore on 13 to 17 August, 2012 with a title of ÒOcean-Floor
Network Observatories and Scientific ApplicationsÓ. Once accepted, all are encouraged
to submit an abstract to this session.

Ralph Stephen asked if ION meeting will be held during next EGU meeting in Vienna. Because the
deadline for session proposal is already over, there will be no ION specific scientific
session. But it may be good to have a meeting because of geographical location
of Vienna and sessions (e.g. ÒInstrumentation, Measurement Strategies and Methods for Ocean-Based Geoscience InvestigationsÓ) that are already part of
the program. It will be considered and will be announced soon if we will have a
meeting.

It was discussed how the ION web site will be maintained.
Currently, the ION website is maintained by Ralph Stephen at WHOI. It will be
discussed if the web site will be transferred to JAMSTEC.
6) It was requested that ION membership and mailing-list should be updated.
